They can't tell when they're loaded comments. For example: "Does this outfit make me look fat"...the first thing a guy thinks is "No, your fat makes you look fat"...but he pauses and says instead "Do you think it makes you look fat?" Because if he says "No" then we either think 1. he can't be trusted to tell the truth or 2. he's just saying what he thinks I want to hear. If he says yes...you know the rest...
