Elise has taken to repeating the last word of every line of the prayers, even the the things Rob is supposed to say. She keeps interrupting him with little tiny attempts at words like, "dwellings," and "perils."

I love kids and prayer. :) We didn't have a toy fish tonight, but we did have a home-made bow and arrow.

John H: I laughed out loud when I saw that twitter the first time. It sounds like a Monty Python sketch, and pretty much matches our nightly experience. Lately the fight has been over who actually gets to hold the Bible, which has led to everyone having their own Bible. Not a bad thing, I guess.

Great post. Very encouraging. And since I now have a set of the cards, I hope to make equally good use of them (even if the first attempt didn't go entirely to plan... :-) )

That's the little laminated tri-fold thing? I found those several yrs ago at the sem bookstore -- a wonderful little resource. I especially love them when we have Lutheran company - maybe online friends who are passing thru -- and we do Close of Day together. What a bond.
