Yes that’s the Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead and The Cure.
I like it, but there’s something wrong with the thought of my child falling asleep to a song which has the lyrics “This is what you get when you mess with us.” Talk about an adversarial parent/child relationship!
Yikes!

Perhaps… reinventing the art is not unheard of… since there are no lyrics, they are actually quite listenable and sometimes genius. The Metallica one is neat-o.

I love the U2 one, but that’s because I recognize all those songs.

I’m at work, so I don’t have sound…can’t wait to get home and check it out though.
As for the Radiohead song…yeah…I think that phrase may be a bit too much….is that from Karma Police??

First of all I will cliam credit for being ahead of my time. “Surfer Girl” (Beach Boys) and “Desparado” (The Eagles) WERE among my children’s lullabies when I put them to bed.
I have to admit, however, that I would never have thought of Metallica or the Ramones. The thing about a Ramones song is that they all played in less than 2 minutes because of the furious pace of the Ramones’ playing. These guys have stretched a 2 minute song to 10 minutes, easily.
