If one is stubborn, one must be capable

While Rob was practicing guitar yesterday Olivia walked in with her head and one arm through a 12 inch diameter embroidery hoop. She was clearly stuck and we have no idea how she even managed to get in it in the first place.

Rob put down his guitar and she said, “I don’t need your help!” with a hint of embarrassment in her tone. She was looking for a private place to struggle free so she went to the corner, moved all the furniture around herself so she was hidden, clanged and banged and suffered, but did not come out until she had somehow removed the hoop.

She then said to Rob, “I made it! I almost died,” and walked away unscathed.

Wow. That’s hilarious. I can’t wait until Deacon gets stubborn and capable.

That is easily the funniest thing I’ve heard in months. “I almost died” – that’s too much.

By the way, I think Elise called me a couple of times yesterday on Rob’s cell phone. Rob’s number came up on the ID but when I picked up, no one was there. I think I heard Bob’s voice in the background.

Ha! We also called Angie Stangeland during church. I think we called Ellie too, but I might have hung up in time.

    It was an interesting day.

Deacon makes a regular habit of calling Aaron Bernstein. Being first on the contact list (due to alphabetic order) is a heavy burden to bear when you have old friends who now have toddlers.

Haha, good thing I had my cell phone turned off! I had no idea. It is a burden having an A name. I often receive phone calls where someone called on accident. That usually means lengthy voice messages of random noises as well.
